Nothing to really say, other than the place is pretty awesome!
Doh
For the first time in a while, I forgot to shampoo my hair this morn. I don’t know how I can skip it in my routine.
Speaking of routines, what’s your morning routine? It’s interesting to hear other people’s take on something you don’t even really think about when doing it.
I set my alarm for 6:47, snooze exactly twice (I don’t know why, but it’s been over a decade and I’m not gonna change) and wake up at 7:01am. Check my computer for any emails or IM’s while I was sleeping (usually none). Then it’s off to the shower. I start the shower, go to the bathroom, and then get in (This gives the shower enough time to warm up). Wet my hair, shampoo, rinse, condition sometimes, wash my body, rinse conditioner and soap off me, do this weird rubbing my face thing that I don’t even think about, but it wakes me up good. Dry off, set out my deodorant, toothpaste, and comb. I then brush my teeth, about 25 strokes per major section, rinse off the toothbrush, put away the toothpaste, put on deodorant and comb my hair.
I don’t know how I could miss something in that ritual, I’ve been doing it for at least a decade in that order.
Whiskerino2007
It’s getting closer, I’m really excited, and I am really disappointed at the same time.
I’m excited to be obsessed with the page again.
I’m disappointed that I can’t participate this year.
See, my job is a job where I go around the country and show off servers to all the big businesses out there. So while my company may not be a company that requires certain attire and a certain clean-cut look, the companies that keep my company from going under do have these requirements.
So while I can go weeks at a time wearing shorts and t-shirts and go unshaven, I will still have to “clean my act up” about once a month.
sigh, adulthood
Delicioustown
Would you eat at a restaurant called Delicioustown?
I would.
Speaking of Paul F Tompkins
I’m just now getting around to watching this week’s episode of weeds, and Paul F Tompkins was on the episode. That man has lost some weight, and as always, he delivered the funny
last.fm
I wish last.fm worked in my car. That’s where I do about 90% of my music listening. My stats never update. I listen to a lot of menomena, flight of the conchords, justice, and Paul F Tompkins.
Now you’re up to speed
Album purchase update
Tomorrow at some point, I’m going to update my album purchases. While it is true I haven’t updated it in at least 6 months. I also haven’t purchased new music since about a month ago. I’ve been poor and spending all my money on school related stuff for the last few years. Look for my recently purchased list to get updated more often now.
side note: you can see that I “censored” the borderline offensive kool keith album I’ve had up on this page for 7-8 months. Sorry brent
The Internet is amazing
Yesterday when I was at the San Francisco Airport awaiting my flight home from the business trip I went on. I looked up and noticed someone who looked familiar. Turns out, my recognition skills are pretty astute, cause it was my old friend’s ex-girlfriend. It was strange to talk to someone you haven’t talked to in ~5 years, and one of the first things to come out of their mouth when you say “oh, I was in San Francisco for my job” to have her say “oh yeah, how’s it going at AMD?”
I forget two things. I forget that I talk about my life here on this blog, and I forget that there are actually people who check it!
So hey Lori, it’s cool that you still read this ever-so-rarely updated webpage.
If you (meaning anyone reading this) read this, do me a favor, say something in the comments section. It’ll be interesting to see who all looks at my page.
Cane Sugar
I did not realize that Jones Soda switched their manufacturing over from corn syrup to cane sugar.
With the rise in diabetes in the last, oh I don’t know, 25 years or so, it’s strange that people are just now seeing a link between the major switch over from cane sugar to corn syrup in 1982, which was…. I believe 25 years ago…. hmm….
I applaud Jones Soda for switching over, and especially at only a 5% increase in price per soda. Jones still costs less than Mexican coke (one of the last bastions of cane cola available down here in Texas. If you’re lucky enough to live near Dublin Texas then you probably have tasted Cane Sugar Dr Pepper, and know. Basically once you’ve had cane sugar cola again, you will wonder why in the world you think Coca Cola or Pepsi are delicious, cause they aren’t, at all.
Go out and buy a Jones Soda, a normal flavor like Root Beer or my personal favorite, Oranges and Cream (imagine drinking a push-up… mmmmm….).
This post was brought to you by this article.
(Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those nuts about Coke and all those stupid facts you got in that email forwarded to you about Coke being used to clean up blood at crime scenes, and how Coke will loosen rusted nails and all that jazz, I think that stuff is hogwash when it comes to the human body. I mean hello, you drink coke and it goes through your system, it doesn’t stay there long enough to eat away anything)
Perry Bible Fellowshop
I know there’s a typo in my subject line, but it’s not a typo.
Would someone kindly buy this for me?
I’ll buy it for you after I get my copy.
Thanks internet,
Chris
