Dead celebrity sighting
Last week on my way home from Pittsburg I swear I saw Larry “bud” Malman in the terminal in Dallas.
I was star-struck and flabbergasted.
He died last year
pain pain pain
oh man, do I know what pain is now.
Last night I had a “mishap” where after I was done going #1 at a urinal, I stepped backwards and somehow stepped wrong, at first I thought I was going to sprain my ankle, but my body decided to go further up, and dislocated my patella (kneecap)
Let me tell you something, when your kneecap is on the SIDE of your leg, it hurts.
According to the doctor what happened is, my patella became dislodged and then it rotated a little, AND then it became lodged between my Femur and my Tibia (the two biggest leg bones). So much pain
Fortunately it did not require surgery, but it did require me being put to sleep so they could force everything back to where it should be. Of course they tried this first in the ER and it didn’t work, because I was awake, and could feel it all. The second time, in the morning was the charm.
Hopefully I’ll be healed up soon enough. It really sucks to not be mobile.
Two words

Flying back from San Francisco, with food poisoning
Photos and stuff in general
I realized while I was at my mom’s this past Thanksgiving that I haven’t been taking photos as much as I used to in the past. I rarely take any pictures. I think I explained it best to my mom that half the time I’m the only one who looks at these photos. She rebutted with me, “But Chris, you go to so many cool places, don’t you want to take pictures?” I re-rebutted, “Mom, I go to all these places alone, if I see something cool, or do something cool, I can write about it, but to take a picture wouldn’t do the place justice when hundreds of thousands of professional photographers have already done what I would be doing… taking pictures of landmarks”
Last month I was in Munich Germany. The coolest thing I did there was go to the Hofbrauhaus. It’s an EXTREMELY large Restaurant/Bar
Walking through the sea of people (this picture represents 1 of the many similar sized rooms on the ground floor), was an experience I’ll never forget. The general additude that you could just pick up in the air was happiness and comradery. You pretty much have to sit by strangers, and there are polka bands everywhere you look, all playing songs, everyone singing along, swaying to the music as food and beer is shovelled into their gullets.
